yoga

What is Yoga?

Yoga is a journey to remember our true nature, our higher self. Instead of looking outside for happiness, by looking inside, we reconnect with our silence where our Essence resides, which is nothing but ecstasy and pure happiness. The search for happiness within our heart is the search for the nature of what we are made of - Pure Consciousness. This ancient practice/science was created to facilitate the inner journey of those who seek to reach a higher level of BEING.

All we need to practice yoga is the desire to learn more about ourselves and the way we relate to everything around us - the Universe.

The word Yoga in Sanskrit means "union" and is defined as the union of mind/body, heart/action. The type of yoga that we Westerners are most familiar with is the series of physical postures, or asanas, which strengthen and make the body more flexible.

This type of yoga is known as HathaYoga but it is much more than a physical practice. The word Hatha is a combination in Sanskrit of the word Ha - Sun and Tha - Moon, which is itself the union of two opposites. The qualities associated with the Sun are warmth, masculinity and effort, while the qualities associated with the Moon are freshness, femininity and surrender.

Hatha Yoga was created to help us integrate these opposing qualities in our body, mind and heart with the aim of discovering something deeper about the nature of our existence. The qualities of the heart are effort and surrender, courage and contentment, tranquillity and joy. The physical qualities are hard and soft, hot and cold, solid and fluid. In essence, the practice of yoga brings these "opposites" together in a harmonious union, in a place of balance and this place is for most of us the gateway to a whole new world, where we make wonderful discoveries about new capacities and possibilities for our lives

It's the entrance to our heart - our essence.

When we decide to embark on this path, we can no longer see the world in quite the same way. As we transform within, the reality around us also begins to change, because our way of living changes too. We become more aware of our mental patterns and limitations, and we increasingly step into the role of observer of our thoughts. This gives us an enormous sense of freedom — and responsibility — in the way we choose to live our lives.

Yoga therefore gives us the opportunity to embark on a journey towards our own healing, at every level of our BEING.

points of you

The work of Points of You® is based on the belief that everything around us can be seen from countless points of the self. People, objects, experiences, places - everything - can be seen from an infinite number of points of view.

When we don't understand something or someone, it's probably because our perspective is too limited for us to see clearly. When we can't see, we can't decide, we can't communicate, we feel blocked. We find it difficult to take the next step.

The tools and training inspire people to look for new points of view; to look inwards and everywhere.

This movement is our point of view.

It's a search, a discovery, a dance.

It keeps us awake, interested, interesting.

It's a stimulating exploration that sharpens our senses and opens up new possibilities
